Fibre To The Premises (FTTP) is our ultrafast business broadband solution that delivers connectivity through fibre optic cables directly to your premises. This technology offers significantly higher speeds and reliability compared to traditional copper-based services, with download speeds of up to 900Mbps.

Single Order Generic Ethernet Access (SOGEA) is our modern broadband solution that eliminates the need for a traditional phone line. Unlike older services that required separate PSTN connections, SOGEA provides a standalone broadband service that's more cost-effective and streamlined. As the UK transitions to full-fibre by 2025, SOGEA serves as an excellent interim solution where FTTP is not yet available.

The primary difference between SOGEA and FTTC is that SOGEA does not require a telephone line, if a phone service is required, a business can opt for a cheaper and more flexible digital phone service.

If your current broadband service is on FTTC, then you can likely carry on using the same router for SOGEA, although you'll have to change the access credentials. However, if you're opting for an FTTP service, you'll likely have to replace your router.
